Department of Epidemiology at the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University, was established in 1986 to conduct research and develop the capacity of health workers in southern Thailand, and opened an international graduate program under the support of the World Health Organization in 1992. Today, the Department is an academic organization that is recognized at the national and international levels.  Faculty members have received grants and awards from various agencies. Our M.Sc. and Ph.D. graduates have returned to over 20 countries of origin in Asia and Africa to become leaders in health research. 

The Department of Epidemiology wishes to foster and develop new faculty members to continue its vision and mission to respond to the rapidly-changing needs of the world and the region. We are looking for young people to join us to develop their views, their lives, and the skills in analysis and communication for social development and health.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in health-related fields
  • Knowledge of epidemiology and statistical analyses
  • TOEFL (PBT) score of at least 550 points, or TOEFL (iBT) of at least 79 points, or IELTS overall band score of 6.0 points
  • Experience in applying for grants or conducting clinical / public health / community health research
  • Special consideration for those with experience in teaching or research
