About the Department of Epidemiology

The Department of Epidemiology is a department within the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus, Thailand. The Department offers graduate education and technical consultation in epidemiology.

Graduate Education

The Epidemiology Unit provides graduate education through its International Graduate Training Programs in Epidemiology. Our students come from various low-and-middle-income countries in Asia and Africa. Our graduate programs are exclusively in English, and include:


Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Epidemiology

Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Epidemiology

Short-Courses in Epidemiology and Medical Statistics

  • 1 statistical analyst
  • 10 support staff
  • 10 research/project staff
  • Over 40 M.Sc. and Ph.D. students
