Our Short-Courses Programs
In addition to full academic programs leading to formal degrees and qualifications, the Epidemiology Unit also offers short-term training in epidemiology and medical statistics. Students attending the short courses receive the same graduate-level coursework training as the students in the M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Epidemiology programs, but are considered for admission separately. Short Course students also have the option of designing their own training based on discussions with faculty members. Although short courses students do not receive a formal qualification at the end of their training, students who perform well can subsequently apply for the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs.

I. Basic Clinical Epidemiology and Basic Medical Statistics
Duration: 4 months starting from 1 August to 30 November
The Basic Clinical Epidemiology and Basic Medical Statistics Program include courses in the first semester of the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs. Students in the Short Courses Program fully participate in the following graduate-level courses:

II. Advanced Clinical Epidemiology and Basic Medical Statistics
Duration: 3 months starting from 1 January to 31 March
The Advanced Clinical Epidemiology and Basic Medical Statistics Program include courses in the second semester of the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs, except for the course in qualitative research methods. Students also fully participate in the field work research in an area near the Hat Yai Campus. The courses include:

IV. Tailor-made course
Duration: 4-8 weeks depending on the objectives and aims of training requested
Students interested in designing their own training program also have the option of taking the tailor-made selection of courses as they prefer for a period of 4-8 weeks, depending on the objectives and aims of the training requested. Students are encouraged to contact the faculty and staff members of the Epidemiology Unit directly to discuss their training plan.
